all this is rather normal? oil will go down sides of tubes wet thread as you pull it out or put it . Runs into cylinder . Seals at top of spark tube have no impact on that, but agree can crack at bottom ; seals on top allow oil on outside of valve cover ? it insulator color ok , you are good. And it is . One outlier plug do compression test , probably ok too .Check plug wire ohms Very tough motors Soot etc is almost always rich running , plugs pulled after idling etc . Should check quickly right after good run , but insulator is good now.. check idle mixture — more generally carbs . I would leave it alone .
