If it's a federal pump, I've actually seen two sizes of pulleys used on these- like about 3/4 of an inch difference between the two diameters. Since you probably have the "slappy slipper" hinge style mounting bracket (without a lot of adjustment available), it could be you just need that smaller pulley belt. Best to match up your old one and see if it works. Good luck!

Putting finishing touches on my 300F engine.  Purchased NAPA 25-9405 fan belt (referenced on their site and also on club NAPA parts list.

The belt is too long.  Actually have the old belt so I can match sizes at the store but am wondering if there is something wrong with my setup.

What is everybody else using?  Anyone else have same issue?
