What a remarkable survivor ! Great photo documentation to show "how it was done".

Thanks for sharing. I am envious.

Started in the motor compartment cleaning everything and knocking down the motor to its short block and lap the valves , exhaust seals , timing chain , water pump , fuel pump and rebuild the carb Will photo everything along the way also ...... She is still wearing her original Spark plugs & wires !!

My question is for Under the hood restore to new appearance or just clean everything just replace items that need replaced no touch up paint leave the rust and worn paint ?

Well, it's only original once .... so you have a choice to make. Do you do the minimum
of work and keep it as original as possible ? ... or do you fix as needed to take "nice" to
"really nice" ?

Personally, I would go the minimal route and take pride in its originality. But that means
some things aren't perfect. Lots of over-restored cars out there. Why not be different ?

Great find. My very 1st forward look was and is a '60 Savoy 4dr sedan. Your lucky to find a 2dr HT that is rust free. Its really nice to see some more coming out of the wood work. It is funny to compare a '60 Plymouth to a '60 Ferd and Chebby. Plymouth hands down!!!

Nice find!

It's very unusual to see a car of this age that has nearly no sludge buildup in the lifter valley. Non-detergent oil was the main culprit for the sludging, but this car was extremely well maintained.

What a neat find. Get it up and running as a survivor! It's only original once!

But it's your car to enjoy as you will . . . . . . . .

That's what put the car down in 1980 the local gas station had a leak in there underground fuel storage tank and he got water in his gas so he removed the gas tank to clean it out ......... 33 years later its still in the trunk, also the dome light was burnt out
